Newsletter WE 18.12.15.

Dear Parents,

We hope you enjoyed the EYFS Christmas Concert on Wednesday and have had a chance to look at the photos and videos uploaded yesterday.  As well as the concert, we had a class party and a visit from Father Christmas.  We played games such as 'musical statues' and danced along to 'Just Dance' on youtube.  The children made Reindeer snacks as well as candy canes.

Thank you for your generosity and support during all the school and class events this term.

It's been an incredibly busy term and the children are in need of a good rest!  We hope you and your children have a safe and relaxing holiday.  We look forward to an exciting second term!

Please see below for some more photos of Christmas activities this week.

Kind Regards,

Gurvinder and the F2 team.

LG's Father ChristmasLG's Christmas TreeHTC's Snowman Without Snow

What a fun and exciting week we've had as F2 children busied themselves preparing for our Christmas celebrations.

In the classroom, the children continue to enjoy playing in our Elves Workshop. Some of them also made Christmas cards in our mark-making area and hung them up on our Christmas tree. The children were brilliant in using our focus vocabulary such as Christmas, Father Christmas, Elves, Presents, Sleigh and a lot more. Most of them spent good amount of  time sharing stories about the presents they will give to members of their families.

It was also all colourful and sparkly in our workshop area as the children started making some christmas decorations. They've made lovely Christmas trees and Snowmen using a variety of textured resources. They loved and enjoyed putting things together and were proud of what they've done.

This week, the children also spent time rehearsing for their Christmas performance. They've learned the actions very well and have been using their lovely singing voices. I bet the children can't wait to perform for their families!

All the children in F2T deserve a good rest over the weekend and should be ready for next week's exciting Christmas activities.

Have a lovely weekend,
Ms Precious, Ms Gurvinder and the F2 team

Dear Parents,

It's fantastic to be back at TX at such a lovely time of year!  As we edge closer towards Christmas, it has been a week of learning and fun in the F2 unit!  We have continued to practise for our upcoming EYFS Christmas concert.  The children know the words and actions really well now and most importantly have been having fun singing and moving!

We went up to the gym to watch Cinderella and Rockafella.  Our children were able to sit for over an hour to watch the fun packed performance.  In the classroom, the children have decorated our Christmas trees beautifully with their salt dough decorations.  Please come in and have a closer look!  The Elves' Workshop has also kept our children busy making and wrapping presents and dressing up.
We have also been reading the story 'Aliens Love PantaClaus'.  The children also had the opportunity to throw javelin in the big playground.

Newsletter 27th November 2015

What have we been learning this week:

What a busy week we've had in F2!

We started the week by doing 'Animal Yoga' in the foyer. The children were so good in doing lots of animal yoga poses and enjoyed the activity with Ms Christine.

This week, we have also been busy practising for our  upcoming Christmas Performance. F2T children did lots of brilliant singing and dancing. We are so proud of them and can't wait for the parents to see their lovely performances.

In the classroom, lots of the children are showing interest in tracing their names and counting objects from 1-10 or more. Most of them also shows good knowledge of basic shapes and can identify numbers 1-10.

In our focus groups this week, the children learned about 'Respect' and how we can be respectful. They learned this well very quickly and we can hear some of them using this word in the classroom. The children learned that we should respect our friends, teachers, our resources, our school, the members of their families and a lot more. Ms Christine focused on Safari vocabulary whilst Ms Clarissa continue to do a session on number recognition and counting objects. The children have also been busy doing lots of physical activities this week. They particularly enjoy our splash pool sessions, riding bikes in the Fundino playground and playing different games in the soft play room.

Well done everybody for another fun-filled and productive week in F2T!

We hope to see you all tomorrow in our EYFS Family Morning :)

Regards,
Ms Precious, Ms Clarissa, Ms Christine and the F2 team
